Earlier this week, Baauer (of “Harlem Shake” fame) posted a screenshot to Facebook of an iTunes playlist [“writing (play out)”], featuring 85 previously unreleased songs of his. “pick one from here and ill [sic] put it on soundcloud RN,” the trap ‘n bass producer said. From there, fans took notice of an AlunaGeorge collaboration titled “One Touch.”

Last night (October 17), BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac premiered “One Touch” in its entirety – perhaps by coincidence, the same way that AlunaGeorge debuted its new song “Supernatural.” And like a true collaboration, both parties play to their sensibilities: AlunaGeorge’s lead vocalist Aluna Francis continues to sound like a disembodied ghost as she pleads for just a little more action (“You gotta give me something to work with,” she repeats). Meanwhile, Baauer alternates between cuing door-slam percussion, rubbery bass lines, finger snaps and key-jangling melodies – it’s carefully orchestrated chaos.
