“Getting money, divas gettin’ money.” That iconic song lyric has turned into Beyonce‘s personal life mantra. When she’s not making bank with record-breaking ticket sales and song royalties, Queen Bey is looking for other ways to diversify her brand. Like inking a massive deal with British retailer Topshop to collaborate on a range of activewear.

Granted, tracksuits and sneakers aren’t the first thing that come to mind when you think of the “Drunk In Love” diva, but there’s method to this madness. “Creating a partnership with Beyonce, one of the most hard-working and talented people in the world, who spends many hours of her life dancing, rehearsing and training is a unique opportunity to develop this category [of clothing],” says Topshop big-wig Philip Green.

And the 33-year-old is just as enthusiastic about the upcoming collaboration. “I have always loved Topshop for its fashion credentials and forward thinking,” Bey explained. “Working with its development team to create and produce a technical and fashion-led collection is exciting, and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”
