Taylor Swift stopped by Late Show with David Letterman yesterday (October 28) to promote her new album, 1989. The singer (who is NYC’s welcome ambassador) is officially an expert on all things New York, and she professed her love for the city to the show’s host. The “Out Of The Woods” starlet also talked about the secret album sessions she hosted for her fans.

Swift then commented on why she hasn’t written a song about relationships in a while: “Well I haven’t really had any lousy boyfriends in the past year and a half. It’s been good! I’m not really looking out for them.” Afterwards, she took the stage to perform “Welcome To New York” — the ode to her new hometown. Watch the performance up top, and catch the singer’s interview after the jump!
