The Angelina Jolie-directed WWII drama Unbroken is scheduled to open in theaters on Christmas Day (December 25), and the film’s soundtrack will get a boost of rock-star power courtesy of Coldplay. It was announced today that the Ghost Stories band have contributed a brand new song called “Miracles” to movie.

Unbroken is based on the true story of Olympic track runner Louis “Louie” Zamperini (portrayed in the film by Jack O’Connell), who drifted in the Pacific in a life raft for over a month before being captured by the Japanese as a prisoner of war for two years. The real life Zamperini passed away in July at the age of 97.

The Unbroken soundtrack, which features Coldplay’s new song, will be released on December 16.
