Shawn Mendes Unveils The Cover Of New, Uptempo Single “Something Big”

Shawn Mendes stunned most commentators when “Life Of The Party” rocketed straight to number one on iTunes. He became the first social media heavy-hitter (his medium of choice is Vine) to make the leap to legitimate pop star — sparking a rush of successful releases from the likes of Troye Sivan and Jack And Jack. All eyes will be on him again when follow-up single “Something Big” drops on November 10.

The 16-year-old unveiled the cover today (October 29) and it’s a wholesome pic of the teen standing in from of wall covered in song lyrics. Shawn described “Something Big” as a change of pace from his breakthrough ballad in a recent interview. “This is definitely one of the more uptempo tracks on the album,” he told MTV. “The song was written on our tour bus over the summer, and it’s meant to be a very positive song about good things happening to people.” Sounds promising.
