Kendrick Lamar Takes On The Streets Of Compton In “i” Video: Watch

Kendrick Lamar has released a visual for his inspirational new single, “i.” The Alexandre Moors & The Little Homies-directed video begins in a sweaty underground club where people are dancing to a soulful instrumental (perhaps a cut off the rapper’s forthcoming LP?), but the song soon kicks in and the simply-dressed K. Dot joins in on the festivities. It is intercut with shots of a gripping reality on the Compton streets — including a couple arguing, a young man being arrested and a person trying to commit suicide.

“i,” produced by Rahki, is the first insight to the rapper’s highly anticipated, yet-to-be-titled sophomore album. There is still no word yet on when K. Dot’s forthcoming LP will be released.
