Beyonce Is Being Sued By A Backing Singer (She’s Never Met) For Allegedly Stealing “XO”: Compare Their Songs

Beyonce is being by Ahmad Javon Lane — a backing vocalist she’s never met — for allegedly stealing 2013 hit “XO”, reports TMZ. The miffed singer claims he shared his song (called “XOXO”) with someone in Queen Bey’s camp and was devastated when he heard the diva’s breezy anthem on the radio. He’s now asking for a whopping $3 million in compensation.

Good luck with that. For starters, “XO” was largely penned by songwriter-for-hire Ryan Tedder and then offered to Beyonce. Unless this mysterious source also knows the OneRepublic frontman, Ahmad’s story is already falling apart. Furthermore, TMZ posted both songs on their website and, apart from sharing a similar title, they sound nothing alike.
