Tinashe’s “Pretend” Gets A Hypnotic House Overhaul From Dave Aude: Listen To The Killer Remix
Can someone please explain why “Pretend” isn’t a radio-conquering smash yet? The Detail-produced slow jam is every bit as intoxicating as Tinashe‘s breakthrough hit “2 On”. The slinky synths set the mood, the rising diva’s breathy vocal brings the feels and A$AP Rocky‘s feature doesn’t feel like an afterthought. There’s even a cinematic video with mountains!
If nothing else, the second single from Aquarius is destined for club success thanks to a hypnotic remix from the ever-reliable Dave Aude. He simply plays around with the BPM, emphasizes the bassline and gets creative with Tinashe’s pitch. It will be interesting to see who else they call on for an overhaul because “Pretend” lends itself to a multitude of dance genres. Listen after the jump.
