Is Christina Aguilera Working With Pharrell On New Music?

Christina Aguilera has hinted that she’s working with Pharrell on her eighth album. Last night (November 7) she posted a snapshot from the studio, which showed a maroon hat resting on the soundboard. Not only is Pharrell being credited for Hollywood’s current hat craze, but as fans of The Voice may recall, the hitmaker wore a similar, if not the exact same hat during last week’s episode.

In light of recent news, the partnership would make sense. Aguilera will return to The Voice for its eighth season, to join Pharrell, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as coaches. (The pop diva also sat in the red chair for the show’s first three seasons, before Shakira took over for Season 4 and Gwen Stefani for the ongoing Season 7.) Plus, Aguilera isn’t the only Voice coach working with Pharrell. Stefani has also teamed with him for her own comeback album, the follow-up to 2006’s The Sweet Escape featuring current single “Baby Don’t Lie.”
