Cheryl Cole Debuts New ‘Only Human’ Song “Fight On”: Listen

Fans of Cheryl Cole have to wait just one more day to wait until she releases her fourth album, Only Human, in the UK. (It’s also the first that she drops under the mononym Cheryl, after getting married this summer.) To tide fans over until then, Beats by Dre premiered a new Only Human track titled “Fight On,” through a new commercial starring the Girls Aloud diva herself.

The new Beats by Dre ad is the sort of emotive clip that consumers have come to expect from the company, with songs like Aloe Blacc‘s “The Man,” Ed Sheeran‘s “Don’t” and X Ambassadors and Jamie N Common‘s “Jungle” used in the past. Here, Cheryl heads from a photo shoot to dance rehearsal, while savoring the few moments that she has to herself and her music.

As for the song itself, Only Human‘s “Fight On” tells a story of a girl seeking sanctuary, with Cheryl eventually backed by a choir and pounding percussion. There seems to be a lot at stake, though as with all artists featured by Beats by Dre, there’s also the sense that Cheryl will rise to the occasion. Watch Beat by Dre’s new commercial starring Cheryl up top, then hear “Fight On” in its entirety below.
