Did You Hear?

:: Fox has announced that Randy Jackson will be leaving American Idol after 13 seasons! He spent his time as a judge for the first 12 years, and mentored for the last season. He’ll definitely be missed on the show, dawg. [Vulture]

:: Our friends over at Vibe recently interviewed Alexandre Moors, the director of Kendrick Lamar‘s latest ’70s-inspired video for “i.” He explained to the magazine the concept of the visual: “[It] is Kendrick waking up the people. He’s doing it for himself and others. That’s why the people are following him. I was trying to find the right tune. I didn’t want it to be a happy-go-lucky video.” Click here to read what else Moors had to say about the directing process!

:: Seizures are a serious matter, but who knew they could be caused by listening to music — specifically from Ne-Yo? UK native Zoe Fennessy claims that she can’t hear the singer’s tunes or else she’ll start having seizures. She even had part of her frontal lobe removed to fix the problem. Yikes! [MTV]

:: Jay Z‘s Made In America festival in Los Angeles will reportedly cost the city’s taxpayers a ton of money — a total of $170,000 to be exact. Live Nation has already paid $500,000 to put on the event back in September, but it wasn’t enough. Now, the L.A. natives are stuck with picking up the extra tab. [Hypetrak]
