:: Taylor Swift recently gave a politically-correct answer explaining why she removed her albums from Spotify, but now the real information has come forward. According to her label, the singer only earned an approximate $500K — much less than the yearly $6 million that artists of her high ranking usually make. Her label CEO Scott Borchetta explained: “The facts show that the music industry was much better off before Spotify hit these shores. Don’t forget this is for the most successful artist in music today. What about the rest of the artists out there struggling to make a career? Over the last year, what Spotify has paid is the equivalent of less than 50,000 albums sold.” [Spin]

:: Culture Club announced the cancellation of their North American and UK reunion tour, which was set to begin on November 15. The reason for the decision was due to a polyp found on Boy George‘s throat, and his doctor has ordered him to rest as to avoid an operation. [via press release]
