Earlier this week we informed you that Stockholm had deployed a teenage Ace Of Base tribute band, much like A*Teens at the turn of the millennium, called A*Base. Today the first reveal of what’s in store arrives in the form of “Never Gonna Say I’m Sorry,” a cover of AOB’s third single off 1995 album The Bridge. And if you were hoping for a 90% faithful adaptation that still manages to sound punchy as can be and irresistibly catchy in 2014, you’re in luck(y love…okay, sorry for that one.)
A*Base’s “Never Gonna Say I’m Sorry” was released in both radio edit and extended forms on iTunes worldwide today. No surprise here — it’s already flown up to #6 on the Swedish digital store’s chart. Listen below!
