Future Hit: Years & Years Go Full House With “Desire” — Watch The Video
UK-based trio Years & Years have followed up their Real EP with brand new single “Desire,” a stomping, whomping house track that could just see them go from emergent dance act opening for Sam Smith on tour to bona fide hit-makers before long. “Desire” comes packed with an irresistible chorus, a soul-grabbing house hook and a dramatic music video directed by Sing J Lee, who also lensed Gorgon City‘s “Ready For Your Love” and Chvrches‘ “The Mother We Share.”
“Is it desire or is it love that I’m feeling for you,” Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander ponders on the chorus of “Desire.” A press release describes the track as conveying the “cyclical conflict of being a slave to desire and the blurring between the lines of lust and love.” Sounds pretty accurate to us.
