Robbie Williams Announces New Rarities Album, ‘Under The Radar Vol. 1’

Robbie Williams will release a new rarities album on December 1 – yes, as in three days from now – exclusively through his official website. Under the Radar Vol. 1 will feature B-sides, demos and other previously unreleased songs. An example of the latter is “Run It Wild,” a song that he “once got very, very excited for” and prepped for last year’s Take the Crown stadium tour, as explained in his announcement video (above). Clearly, his cat has felt exactly the same way.

Following a one-off performance at the London Palladium, the Brit-pop veteran embarked a 46-date European tour this year for 2013’s Swings Both Ways, his second swing album that featured duets with Kelly Clarkson (“Little Green Apples”), Rufus Wainwright, Michael Buble, Lily Allen and tour opener Olly Murs. Williams also appeared in Avicii‘s new song “The Days.” However, he still wasn’t as active in music as he could have been, as he bowed out of Take That‘s still-forthcoming reunion album, due later this year.

Under the Radar Vol. 1 is available for preorder now. Watch Robbie Williams announce the rarities set up top. Below, watch performances from his 2001 live DVD Live at the Albert, which he uploaded to his official YouTube just yesterday (November 27).
