Naomi Pilgrim’s Excellent Synth-Pop Anthem “It’s All Good” Gets A Cinematic, Desert-Themed Video: Watch

You can add Naomi Pilgrim to the long list of talented Swedes making waves stateside. The rising star impressed all the right people with 2013 debut single “No Gun” and then dropped one of 2014’s best EPs, the consistently-great House Of Dreams, over the summer. She’s now back with possibly her best single yet. “It’s All Good” defies easy categorization. The track has been labelled everything from futuristic R&B to ethereal alt-pop.

The truth lies somewhere in the middle with Naomi’s smooth, R&B-influenced vocal sitting elegantly on a bed of exuberant synths. “It’s All Good” also packs a monster chorus, which makes it as good a prospect as any to crossover to pop radio. The glamorous diva, who sang back-up for Lykke Li before branching out on her own, drives along a desert highway in the just-released video — randomly knocking over skateboarders. I’m not sure what it all means but it looks incredible. Watch up top.
