Annie Lennox Questions Madonna’s Sexy ‘Interview’ Spread

Annie Lennox spoke out recently about Beyoncé‘s brand of feminism (which she dubbed “feminist lite,” a term which she later clarified as “lost in translation”) and declared twerking to be “not feminism” (a slight to Miley?), and now she’s been asked about Madonna‘s latest, eye-popping shoot for Interview Magazine.

During an appearance on Loose Women, the Nostalgia songstress was presented with Madge’s NSFW shoot for the magazine’s upcoming art issue.

“I did get things off occasionally, but not to that extent. I don’t think it’s down to me [to judge Madonna]…” But when she was asked by show panelist Janet Street-Porter whether Madonna was trying to get attention for her shoot, she agreed, continued: “I think already the verdict is probably out. Would you not agree on that one? I think the question is, ‘What is Madonna telling us? Anybody know?'”

Does anybody have an answer for Annie? Does she have a point, or does it seem like another criticism of some of pop’s most prominent female stars? sound off in the comments below.
