DJ Earworm Releases “United States Of Pop 2014”: Watch The Mash-Up Video

DJ Earworm‘s annual “United States of Pop” mash-up is something everyone either looks forward to or dreads during the holiday season — depending on how basic the year’s music was (it’s been pretty forgettable in 2014, to be honest). This time around, the DJ/producer has combined 25 of the biggest tunes from the past calendar year.

In an interview with Billboard, he stated the popularity of EDM has declined: “[2014 was] dominated by these slow, ponderous songs like ‘Say Something’ and ‘All Of Me,’ and then swaggering hip-hop songs like ‘Turn Down For What,’ ‘Talk Dirty,’ and ‘Black Widow.’ Then you have totally uptempo songs like ‘Happy’ and ‘Shake It Off,’ too. It’s a little bit more diverse, and definitely softer than it’s been.”

This year’s video includes tracks from Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Nico & Vinz, Jason Derulo, Iggy Azalea, Charli XCX and many more!
