Beyonce’s “7/11” Remix Package Arrives Online: Listen To The Very, Very Good BAUT Overhaul
Beyonce‘s “7/11” is perhaps the year’s quirkiest hit. Without a chorus to pull the song together, the Detail-produced club-banger is simply an avalanche of catchy hooks and killer beats. It’s wild, innovative and extremely educational give that it outlines the rules of an obscure drinking game. All the anthem needs to remain in high rotation at parties for the next… forever is a decent remix and Queen Bey naturally obliges.
The remix package surfaced online today (December 10) and it’s actually a little underwhelming. There is, however, one respectable dance overhaul. BAUT — English DJs CJay Swayne and Nathan Cozzetto — made waves in 2014 with great remixes of Jennifer Hudson‘s “It’s Your World” and Azealia Banks‘ “Chasing Time,” but their take on “7/11” is even better. They tame the track’s sprawling structure, turning it into formidable club fodder. Listen after the jump.
