Seriously, what else is there to talk about other than booze and boys with Barbara Walters?

1989 pop darling Taylor Swift has been just about everywhere in the past few months (and years) as her album campaign remains in full swing, which is why it should come as no #TaylorSwiftSurpriseFace to anyone that she was selected as one of the 10 people on Barbara’s coveted 10 Most Fascinating People for 2014.

And, thanks to US Weekly, we have a few choice quotes from the forthcoming special, which is due to air on on ABC this Sunday, Dec. 14 at 9 PM EST. For instance, do you know that Taylor Swift occasionally has a beer?

“I mean, I do drink, I am 25…so it’s not like, I mean… Yeah, I was at a Knicks game and I had a beer and everybody was like, ‘Ohhh!’ I was like, ‘Tsk’,” she explained to the (surely flabbergasted) host. Imagine that! Taylor Swift. Drinking. But, don’t worry…she already thought through the potential repercussions: “I did wait until I was 21 to drink. “I was so paranoid about getting in trouble or setting the wrong example or sending the wrong message.”

In fact, Swift is incredibly aware that she isn’t just living her life — she’s influencing the lives of many others around her, especially her young fans: “I put every one of my actions through a filter before I do them because that’s the way my life is, that’s the reality… If I do something reckless or thoughtless or careless, or I treat someone badly, that doesn’t just affect me; it affects that person. Then, if that story gets out, or some 10-year-old sees that I did that in a news article… my actions do have ripples.”

Of course, Babs also touched upon T. Swift’s dating life as well — it wouldn’t be a Taylor Swift interview without prodding for details on her latest man! Still, she’s happy being a newly emancipated single New Yorker: “I don’t see a scenario right now, the way my life is, in which it could work…so I don’t think about it because I don’t like to think about things that I can’t solve.” Given the sheer amount of times we’re writing about her performing, interviewing or appearing somewhere daily, we can’t quite see how she’d have the time, either!
