J. Cole Gets Introspective In His "Apparently" Video
Watch the rapper reflect on his budding career.

J. Cole is known for boldly speaking on current events, and his appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman was no different. The rapper’s third LP 2014 Forest Hills Drive is out now — yet instead of performing a track off the record, Cole decided to spread a strong message.

The North Carolina native performed “Be Free,” an inspiring song that tributes the passing of Eric Garner and Mike Brown. He even added some new lyrics to the track. The end result is powerful, bold and many would agree that it was much needed. 2014 Forest Hills Drive was released on December 9, and despite dropping without any singles it is expected to sell 320-350k in its first week.
