Did You Hear?

:: Congratulations to Dr. Dre, who tops Forbes’ list of 2014’s highest-paid musicians! The hip-hop mogul brought in a whopping $620 million this year. Beyonce comes in second place (duh) with $115. [Huffington Post]

:: Young Jeezy is cleared of gun charges that stemmed from an arrest in August after police found an AK-47 and a Glock on his tour bus. The Orange County, CA District Attorney and judge explained there was a lack of evidence for the rapper’s case. [Rolling Stone]

:: Jay Z recently meet with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to discuss criminal justice reform. The two went over the current system that’s in place and what they could do to improve it. The governor’s spokesperson stated they had a “productive conversation about doing a top-to-bottom review of the criminal-justice system, and how we can all work together to pass a reform package that ensures equality in the eyes of the law.” [Complex]

:: Bad news for Drake, whose 2013 Nothing Was The Same LP was the most pirated album of ExtraTorrent, one of the biggest torrent sites on the web. Maroon 5‘s “Payphone” single landed in second place, with Jay Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail LP in third. Yikes! [Popdust]
