Leona Lewis Teases New Music For 2015: Watch A Preview
Huzzah! The return of Leona Lewis is nearly upon us.
It’s been a minute or two since we last heard from the incredibly talented X Factor UK alum. In fact, the last time we did hear from the “Bleeding Love” songbird, she was penning an emotional letter to fans regarding her departure from her record label, Syco, back in September. (Don’t worry: She inked a new deal with Island Records back in June.) And luckily, things seem to be back on track in a big way.
In a new teaser video posted on her social channels earlier today, Leona is seen belting out and playing a piano next to a drummer in what sounds like a powerful, stirring new tune. “I got fire under my feet and I feel it in my heartbeat,” she sings on the uptempo track, resembling a storming offering from Adele‘s 21. “Getting ready for 2015…” she simply wrote alongside the tease of new music. In addition to the tease, Leona also tweeted about working on a “natural and organic” new LP back in October, and this preview certainly seems to be proof of that.
