Like the rest of us, Pitbull‘s favorite record right now is this '1989' gem -- so he actually gets introspective.

Pitbull and Ne-Yo party like it’s 1999 in their new “Time of Our Lives” video. Okay, technically it’s New Year’s Eve 1999. Still, to see Pitbull dressed in a Miami Hurricanes Starter jacket, receiving a text on an imitation Sidekick, makes for a delightfully strange throwback.

Dressed as he was before he became Mr. Worldwide, blending his Latin music influences with Southern crunk alongside Lil Jon, Pitbull crashes a house party and makes a spectacle of himself while pocketing cash from a donation jar, singing Ne-Yo’s parts at the top of his lungs and getting up close and personal with, erm, a woman’s ass. The video also shows that, at least in Pitbull’s world, some things just don’t change. Other party-goers get just as crazy as he does, as they shake what they’ve got at his command. Sound familiar?

“Time of Our Lives” appears on Pitbull’s seventh solo album Globalization and made its Hot 100 debut two weeks ago. See the song’s video up top, then catch his recent iHeartRadio Theater LA performances of that track, “Celebrate” and “Fireball” below.
