Marina And The Diamonds Reveals Artwork, Chords And Lyrics For New ‘Froot’ Song, “Immortal”
It’s that time again! Who’s ready for another serving of Froot?
As we already know, Marina And The Diamonds has been serving up portion after portion of her forthcoming studio album each month (a Froot Of The Month, more precisely!), including the glamorous, disco-tinged title track and her sobering ballad, “Happy.” And, on January 1, Marina will kick off the New Year with a bang — and a new Froot to enjoy.
January’s fruit, the blueberry, will represent a song called “Immortal,” which she herself described as “arguably the darkest thing” she’s ever written. What a way to ring in the New Year, huh? To keep fans satiated, the pop diva revealed the song’s lyrics, as well as chords, in a cute package (complete with some blueberry photos, too!) on her official website.
“Sad to think of the horrors so many good people went through there but they deserve our attendance to keep their memories alive,” she wrote underneath the song’s lyrics. Check out the lyrics in full after the jump, and take in the gorgeousness of the single cover up top.
