Report: Joey Bada$$ Arrested For Assault
The rapper runs into some legal trouble at an Australian festival.

Ready for some new Joey Bada$$ music ahead of the release of his debut LP? The 19-year-old Brooklyn MC saw his upbeat B4.DA.$$ cut “Teach Me” debut today, via Zane Lowe‘s BBC 1 show, and its notable for being a collaboration with flame-haired house diva Kiesza.

“Teach Me” is a shuffling soul cut that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Janelle Monae album, and it finds Joey and and Kiesza back together after recording  “Bad Thing” for the latter’s recent album Sound Of A Woman.

ASTR and Chuck Strangers handled production duties here. Give “Teach Me” a spin below.

In the fall, Kiesza talked to Idolator about pairing up with Joey and recording their collaborations:

We reached out to him months before we ended up working together and he missed the email. So we were like, “Maybe he’s not into it.” Then literally the week we were supposed to turn the album in, he tweets me, “Oh my gosh — I’m such a big fan. I’d love to collaborate.” I sent him a direct message, “Joey, I emailed you three months ago!” He went and checked and was like, “Dammit, I missed the email.” He came by two days later and we did up “Bad Thing.”

B4.DA.$$ will be released later this month, on Joey’s 20th birthday (January 20).
