Fergie makes her long-awaited comeback with "L.A. Love (La La)". Watch the colorful video.

Fergie‘s comeback didn’t quite pop the way some of us hoped, but “L.A. Love (La La)” is turning out to be something of a grower — hanging around the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 for the last few weeks. It’s also nice to see her stand by the song and share it was as many people as possible thanks to a string of excellent performances. (Yes, I’m shading you Gwen Stefani). Even if the catchy bop doesn’t climb any higher, fans and pop radio will be ready and waiting for the diva’s next move.

The 39-year-old’s latest promo opportunity came at a Clippers’ basketball game. During a break in play, Fergie strutted on to the court and started performing “L.A. Love (La La).” That prompted cheerleaders, cleaning staff and coaches to join in the fun. It was obviously choreographed in advance but still feels spontaneous and very, very fun. Given the nature of the flash mob, live vocals weren’t really an option, so please turn a blind eye to the lip synching. Watch up top.
