Years & Years Cover HAIM’s “Don’t Save Me” For BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge: Watch
2015 is the Year Of Years & Years, officially.
Just this morning, the soulful House-pop trio were named the winners of BBC Music’s highly coveted Sound Of 2015 poll. And now, having just dropped their fresh new single “King” two days ago, the boys have entered into the hallowed studio halls of BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to perform a special cover of HAIM‘s “Don’t Save Me.” It’s a fitting selection, too: HAIM took the crown in the Sound Of 2013 Poll.
True to their own style, the troupe switches up the song’s production entirely, turning it into a delicate and electronic production. Olly Alexander‘s voice is as melodic and emotional as ever, complimented by backing singers and ’80’s sounding synths. The HAIM girls would likely be proud!
