Katy Perry will be joined by Lenny Kravitz during her 2015 Super Bowl XLIX halftime performance, on Sunday, February 1. The bold pop superstar broke the news during January 10’s AFC Divisional Playoff Game between the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots, when she sat briefly with NBC host Willie Geist.

“He’s got so much style and this certain, how do you say, je ne sais quoi. He’s the coolest. He’s the king of cool, and he’s going to make me so much more cooler that day,” Perry said of the rock star. Then, when Geist asked if they will perform “American Woman” — as in Kravitz’s 1999, Grammy-winning cover of the 1970 Guess Who song — she said, “We’ll see,” though with a knowing glance at the camera.

Both stars have been touring rigorously in the months leading up to the anticipated halftime show. (More than 115 million US viewers tuned in last year.) Perry just wrapped the Australian-New Zealand leg of her Prismatic world tour, which is heading to Europe next. Meanwhile, Kravitz just toured Europe for his latest studio album Strut, featuring lead single “The Chamber.” That trek continues in 2015 with stops in Asia, Australia, the United States and then back in Europe.
