Meghan Trainor's 'Title': Review Revue
Find out what the critics had to say about Meghan Trainor's hit-spawning debut LP 'Title.'

Bow down to Meghan Trainor! While it’s not that unusual for a new artist to score a couple of big hits (remember Carly Rae Jepsen?), converting that initial burst of popularity into healthy album sales is considerably harder. It’s a trick that the “All About That Bass” diva pulls off effortlessly with her debut LP Title, which is set to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 with a first-week sales tally of 150,000+ copies.

The final number could be even higher. According to Hits Daily Double, Meghan’s album could end up with an opening bow of 175,000 – 200,000 units — but it’s unclear if that figure is based on pure sales or a combination that includes individual song downloads and streams (which now count towards the Billboard chart). Either way, it’s an incredible tally for a new artist and a sure sign that the 21-year-old is more than just a two-song wonder.
