FKA Twigs Is All Tied Up In Her “Pendulum” Video: Watch
FKA Twigs was one of the few standout artists of 2014, and the singer is continuing her reign in the new year! She is following the eye-opening adventure that was “Video Girl” with the visual for her latest single — “Pendulum.” While the aforementioned clip showed Twigs in a free state, this new one finds her quite constrained.
In her first self-directed video, the UK chanteuse is tied up with long ropes of her own hair as she suspends in mid-air. It creates a sexually-heightened and powerful image that highlights Twigs’ dance training. Her face is also projected inside a pool of murky black liquid, which draws memories of Janet Jackson and Busta Rhymes‘ 1998 video for “What’s It Gonna Be?!”
FKA Twigs’ debut, Grammy-nominated album LP1 was released in August 2014, and includes songs like “Video Girl,” “Lights On” and “Two Weeks.”
