Sally Seltmann Drops Dreamy Pop Anthem “We Are The Music”: Idolator Premiere

Sally Seltmann is one of the unsung heroes of the Australian music scene. After carving out a niche as a quirky alt-pop queen under the moniker New Buffalo, the Sydney-based diva gained international recognition by co-writing Feist‘s breakout hit “1234.” She then released a pair of well-received albums under her own name (including 2014’s lovely Hey Daydreamer) and even formed a singer/songwriter super-group with Sarah Blasko and Holly Throsby.

The versatile Aussie now returns with a delicate synth-pop anthem called “We Are The Music” — the result of a collaboration with husband Darren Seltmann (of dance outfit The Avalanches) and Canadian musicians Jon lawless and Aaron Mohr. They create the perfect soundscape for Sally’s soft and pretty vocals. “The beat and the melody are moving together like lovers on a first date,” she sings over dreamy synths. “Can you feel the spark in my heart?” Listen to the gorgeous anthem after the jump.
