Christina Aguilera Is Working With Pharrell On New Album
After taking a small break to focus on her personal life (she recently gave birth to her new daughter — Summer Rain), Christina Aguilera is ready to dominate 2015 with a new album. The diva spoke to Extra TV about plans for the forthcoming music.
She revealed that she has been working with fellow Voice judge Pharrell in the studio! “During my pregnancy, I had a meeting with him and just connected on where I want to take the next album, and we started talking music, and he has one song in particular that I love,” Aguilera stated.
As for the new music’s vibe? The singer said, “It’s genuine and it’s heartfelt and I’m very excited to pour my heart out into this record fully, I’ve been gathering and writing and coming up with these amazing ideas for different parts of how I was feeling the past year, so I’m really excited to vocalize all of it and make it all come together.”
Along with the new album, Aguilera will return to season 8 of The Voice, which airs on February 28. Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Lionel Richie and more will guest as mentors.
