No, it’s not just you — award shows in the early months of the year can truly seem like they’re a dime a dozen. But if you’re a pop music fan, then chances are you rate the Grammys pretty high up on the heap as far as these annual shebangs go. Tonight (February 8) brings the 57th installment of the Grammy Awards, and this particular do is going down at Los Angeles’ towering Staples Center.

We’re as excited as the next music nut to see the likes of Madonna, Rihanna, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Sia, Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige perform this evening, but — oh, right — there are also some statues to be handed out!

Going into this thing with the most nominations are Beyonce, Sam Smith and Pharrell Williams, who each scored six nods back in December. Artists ranging from Iggy Azalea to Drake to Eric Church nabbed four nominations apiece, and, hey, even the Guardians Of The Galaxy soundtrack is up for an award. All of this basically means we’re in for a long night of song, dance and self-congratulation! Yippeeeeee!

As always, Idolator will be keeping you up to date in real time with who wins what (see the full list of nominees), so pop back over here at 8 p.m. EST and we’ll get this whole thing rolling for you.
