Meghan Trainor lights up the March cover of Seventeen magazine with her megawatt smile (and glamorous pink leather skirt). The “All About That Bass” chart-conqueror is pop’s new poster girl but there was a time when she thought superstardom was not on the cards due to her appearance. “When I saw photos of myself, I would think, I look awful,” she reveals. “There’s a double chin! I never thought I’d be a pop star. I don’t look like Rihanna.”

Happily, the 21-year-old have overcome her insecurities and now has a healthy body image. “Just recently I was thinking, ‘I’m confident now, and I look good,’ and that’s because I’ve started saying those words out loud more,” Meghan told Seventeen. “So now when I see pictures, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, why would I hate myself at all? I look incredible in that picture!’” The Title hitmaker kicks off her first, headlining tour on February 11.
