The day that we have all been waiting for has arrived!

CHVRCHES recently stopped by BBC Radio 1 for Fearne Cotton‘s Brits Live Lounges series, where they performed Justin Timberlake‘s “Cry Me A River.” The Scottish pop trio put their own spin on the 2002 tune, transforming it into a spacey downtempo.

Frontwoman Lauren Mayberry‘s vocals delicately float against the sharp synthesizers and wonky percussion, which all fit into the band’s synthpop aesthetic. This may just be an indication of what’s to come for their upcoming record! CHVRCHES are currently in the studio working on their sophomore album, the follow-up to 2013’s sparkling debut, The Bones Of What You Believe
