The Cash Money camp has been quite shaky over the past few months, as Lil Wayne has been claiming that Birdman refuses to release his long-delayed Tha Carter V album. Since then, Weezy has allegedly sued the record label CEO (and his former BFF) for a whopping $51 million. According to TMZ, he states that Birdman is withholding tens of millions the label owes Wayne for the pushed-back LP.

Now, Lil Wayne is working on a new project — The Free Weezy Album. He spoke to Rolling Stone on his current musical plans as well as alluding to him and Birdman not being on speaking terms. “I have no words. I’m super-numb to it, to tell you the truth,” the rapper said.

He also wants to release the Free Weezy album in March: “I’m working on it every day, man,” he says. “I guarantee it’s going to be something dope. If you don’t want a musician being creative, don’t get The Free Weezy Album.” As for Tha Carter V‘s status? Wayne tells Rolling Stone, “It’s super-done. Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit. I would have released it yesterday if I could. But it’s a dead subject right now. It’s a jewel in the safe. It’s that stash-house money.”
