Madonna’s “Living For Love” (Almost) Cracks The Billboard Hot 100

Madonna's "Living For Love" has reportedly been banned from BBC Radio 1 due to her age.

Madonna recently rocked a sweater with the message: “We can’t all be the queen. Someone has to bow as I go by.” Well, it’s time for your fave to bend her back because “Living For Love” is shaping up to be a (minor) hit! The lead single from Rebel Heart edges closer to a debut on the Billboard Hot 100 today (February 19) by landing at number eight on Billboard‘s Bubbling Under chart. If it cracks the countdown next week, it will be the legendary diva’s 57th entry.

In other promising news, the uplifting club-banger is finding love on pop radio. “Living For Love” is currently at number 37 on the top 40 airplay chart with just under one thousand spins. That’s a very different reception to the one it received in the UK, where leading radio station BBC Radio 1 is refusing to play it. Sounds ageist, right? They disagree — arguing that they’re simply catering to their young audience.
