The 21-year-old underwent a tracheotomy (a surgical procedure of the trachea) in order to rearrange the breathing tube in her neck. “It’s a normal procedure to have the tracheotomy because if you have a breathing tube down there for a long time, it can cause an infection,” a family source reported.
