Phew! We're finally rounding the corner of award show season.

Kelly Clarkson‘s forthcoming sixth studio album Piece By Piece is almost here, and we’re getting even more tastes of what to expect on the record! The latest track to be revealed is “Take You High,” a bright mid-tempo that will have you lifting up your hands and feel rejoiced!

But this is not your typical gospel-flecked song. What makes “Take You High” (written by MoZella McDonald and Jesse Shatkin) so different is the sharp, wonky injections of synths, the singer’s bold vocals that toy with electronic effects and the soaring percussion. Clarkson sings, “Let me open your heart wide/ When your angels fall out of the sky/ I’ll be the wings that make you fly/ When you come down/ I’ll take you high.” If that doesn’t uplift you on this cold winter morning, what will?

The track can be found on Piece By Piece, which also includes “Heartbeat Song,” “Run Run Run” with John Legend, the Sia-penned “Invincible” and the title track. Look out for it on March 3!

Take a listen to the track below, and let us know what you think in the comments section!
