Katy Perry And Kacey Musgraves Meet
Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves made for an unlikely pair on their Crossroads special.

Just over a year ago, Katy Perry‘s country-pop pal Kacey Musgraves nabbed the Grammy for Best Country Album for her breakout LP Same Trailer, Different Park. And while the singer will still be touring in support of that set through the springtime, she’s also looking ahead to her next record.

Particularly, Musgraves’ song “Biscuits” is heading to country radio on March 16 and iTunes the following day, and will serve as the first single from her upcoming Mercury Nashville follow-up to Same Trailer, Different Park.

Those who have caught Kacey live lately will likely have heard “Biscuits” in one form or other, as she’s been performing the song for the past year while on the road. Below is a clip of her offering up a stripped-down version of the new single in Dallas last fall.

“Biscuits” was written by Musgraves, Same Park co-producer Shane McAnally and 2015 Grammy Best New Artist nominee Brandy Clark.
