Shania Twain Is Working On A New Album — And It Could Be Released This Year!
The 13-year wait (she really tried it) for a new Shania Twain album is almost over! The country queen has promised to release her seemingly forever-delayed fifth LP to coincide with her 50th birthday. “I’m working on the new record as we speak,” she told Good Morning America. “I’m on the microphone every day recording. That will be coming up after the tour. I want to enjoy that party and then I’ll get back to the record.”
The flawless 49-year-old is referring to her farewell Rock This Country tour, which winds up in Fresno, CA on August 23 — five days before her 50th birthday on August 28. That gives Shania plenty of time to get her fifth LP finished in time for the Christmas rush. If you’re wondering why this is such a big deal, the Canadian’s last four albums went 44 times platinum in the US alone. And you thought Adele was cute with her lone diamond certification?
