Sam Smith and John Legend have teamed up for a special cause! The “Glory” singer hopped on the UK crooner’s latest tune, “Lay Me Down,” in honor of Red Nose Day. The remix, which is now the UK charity relief’s official single, holds even more emotion than the original version.

All proceeds from the “Lay Me Down” tune’s sales will go towards the charity. Smith tweeted today (March 9), “So honoured to collaborate with such an incredible artist. Please do support the track, it is for a great cause.”

“Sam is such a talented artist. We’ve been looking forward to working together for a while now. I’m so glad we could collaborate on such a great song and for such a great cause,” Legend stated about the partnership. He and Smith will perform at the Comic Relief: Face the Funny event on March 13, which takes place at London’s Palladium and is set to air on BBC One.
