FKA Twigs, A$AP Rocky To Headline Red Bull Music Academy NYC Festival
The Red Bull Music Academy has announced its 3rd annual New York City festival today, running throughout the month of May.
The annual event, which promises to provide “live performances, club nights, lectures and workshops” in venues all across the city, will feature a diverse array of talented acts including FKA twigs, who will headline for two nights of the festival for a show called “FKA twigs presents Congregata.”
From RBMA: “Over the course of two nights, the singer/dancer/producer/ choreographer/director will perform two very special shows at the Brooklyn Hangar. The exciting next step in her evolution, we’ve given her complete freedom to bring her radical vision to the stage.”
Other artists who will be playing the festival include A$AP Rocky, George Clinton, The Haxan Cloak (who worked on the new Björk album, Vulnicura), as well as PC Music and SOPHIE (co-producer on Madonna‘s “Bitch I’m Madonna”), who will present “an all-new live concept at media and arts space BRIC House.”
