Bridgit Mendler spoke to us about her new album and love of all things John Newman.

Bridgit Mendler is joining the cast of NBC sitcom Undateable. The 22-year-old triple-threat unveiled a similarly-titled single today (March 10) to promote the show and it turns out to be an exceedingly cute pop anthem. “No doubt I got no game, my friends they are the same (undateable),” the Lemonade Mouth starlet sings over bubbly synths. “Can’t move if you never try, that’s why me and you are undateable for life.”

The lyrics might sound depressing as hell but it’s actually a cheerful throwback to early Madonna (if she were an unlucky-in-love wallflower). Bridgit never generated as much heat as fellow former-teen queens Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, but “Ready Or Not” remains one of the best singles in Disney’s discography and Hello My Name Is… contained more than its fair share of cute jams.
