Sevyn Streeter’s Debut Album Is Called ‘On The Verge’
Sevyn Streeter announced the title of her debut LP today (March 10) in a lengthy Instagram post. She christened the opus On The Verge because it sums up her experience in the music industry — among other reasons. “The moment before something great happens…. you can feel it! This album is my ‘something great’,” the R&B diva explained. “My thoughts, desires, fears, tears, emotional ups, downs, good times, drunk nights & unforgettable memories all rolled up into one body of work.”
“We’re all ‘ON THE VERGE’ of something — whether it’s a wild night, a break up or breakthrough!” the 28-year-old continued. “I’ve experienced all of the above & I’m ready for whatever else the world throws at me. That’s why I chose ‘ON THE VERGE’ as my album title! 2 record deals in, but the 3rd one was the charm!” Sevyn’s much-anticipated debut LP is spearheaded by Chris Brown-assisted single “Don’t Kill The Fun.” She released a critically-acclaimed EP Call Me Crazy, But… in 2013.
