Oh, you thought it was over between Madonna and Sock Bitch? Think again!

Kendrick Lamar is steadily becoming one of the more prolific rappers in the industry, and his upcoming To Pimp A Butterfly album may just cement his musical mark! His latest venture is covering the new issue of Rolling Stone, which shows him sitting comfortably as he gets his hair twisted.

Inside the magazine, K. Dot touches on his new project. “You take a black kid out of Compton and put him in the limelight, and you find answers about yourself you never knew you were searching for. There’s some stuff in there, man. It’s a roller coaster. It builds,” he states.

Rolling Stone also received an exclusive preview of a handful of tracks: “The songs range from the intensely personal to the swaggeringly aggressive – like ‘King Kunta,’ which could be the theme song from a Seventies blaxploitation flick.”

Kendrick Lamar’s Rolling Stone cover will be available on Friday, March 13. His forthcoming third LP, To Pimp A Butterfly, will be released on March 23. View the magazine cover in its entirety below, and let us know if you’re excited to hear Kendrick’s new album!
