Tinashe’s ‘Amethyst’ Mixtape Is Now Streaming: Listen
After announcing her Amethyst mixtape last week, Tinashe‘s new project has now arrived! It includes seven tracks, with production from of-the-moment musicians like Ryan Hemsworth, Iamsu!, DJ Dahi and more.
The vibe of the mixtape picks up where last year’s Aquarius left off, due to the track’s dreamy quality that is highlighted by Tinashe’s delicate, breathy vocals, warbly synths and R&B melodies that are slightly warmer than its icy predecessor. The mixtape was actually recorded in the singer’s bedroom over the Christmas holiday, a method that Tinashe used for some of her debut album’s tunes.
Amethyst is the follow-up to Tinashe’s debut LP Aquarius, which was released in October 2014 via RCA Records
. It features tracks like “All Hands On Deck,” “Bated Breath” and “Bet.” Take a listen for yourself below!
