Natalia Kills, Willy Moon Fired From 'X Factor New Zealand'
Natalia Kills and Willy Moon have officially been axed from the show. Find out why.

Ever since Natalia Kills and Willy Woon‘s sharp critique (or, depending on who you ask, bullying session) of contestant Joe Irvine that cost them both their jobs on X Factor New Zealand, much has made about the pop star’s harsh words: Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris made their feelings very known on social media, while Lorde and Ed Sheeran opted to send warm wishes to the scorned contestant.

But now, in a new video on MTV Australia (which is sadly blocked outside of the country), Kills is finally speaking out about the controversy — and she offers a somewhat more confusing, and unapologetic, explanation.

“I feel like everyone needs to put the idea of it being a manufactured conspiracy theory behind them, there’s really nothing to it. I love my husband with all of my heart, we’ll stick together no matter what,” she says, seemingly shooting down suspicions that she’d been fed the lines or told by producers to lay into the contestant.

She continued: “There are many sides to this story and I am not about to get an entire industry in trouble that has been going on for years and years entertaining the masses, so thank you absolutely everyone for your support. Thank you to all of my fans. Thank you to my husband. I would like to wish Joe Irvine and my boys category all the best on the show.”

What do you think Natalia means about the “many sides” of this story? And what do you make the situation now that Natalia’s spoken out? Sound off in the comments below.
