Yesterday (March 19) at Austin’s SXSW Music Festival was not as frenzied as the day before, but there were still a lot of memorable events that took place — and we’re excited to share them in our latest recap!

We kicked off the day with a brunch hosted by Island Records, where acts like Laura Welsh and Mike Posner performed. Aside from writing tunes like Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” and Nick Jonas’ “Numb,” the latter artist has been laying low. Posner’s acoustic set was an unexpected insight of what may come on his upcoming album.

After enjoying the food and great music, we chatted with Idolator favorites — Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne! Look out for the separate interviews soon to find out what the two acts have planned for the rest of the year.

We then headed to FloodFest to catch another performance from Years & Years, where they sung their newest tune — Communion‘s “Worship.” Clean Bandit member Neil Amin-Smith was also spotted in the audience enjoying the fellow UK dance group’s setlist!

Throughout the day, there were multiple talks of Miley Cyrus popping up Fader magazine’s special stage — and the rumors were true! The Bangerz diva joined Mike WiLL Made-It’s set to fire up the crowd with tunes like “23” and “We Can’t Stop.” Acts like Future, RiFF RAFF and Rae Sremmurd also performed with a tangible energy that made waves throughout the audience.

We ended the fun-filled day with showcases from Bleachers at Fader Fort and MS MR at Stubb’s, where they played an entrancing set that included fan favorites like 2013’s “Hurricane” and new track “Painted” — the first single off their forthcoming sophomore LP.
